My name is Emma Rainier.

I am married and am Mum to 2 boys in their twenties. We live in Woking Surrey.

I originally trained as a nurse and specialised in Intensive care. I attended National Childbirth Trust Antenatal classes (NCT) before the birth my first son. I went back to work part time but stopped a while after as it did not suit our family life.

I enjoyed the teaching element of my job and had discovered a new interest in pregnancy and birth after having a baby so I started my training with the NCT shortly after in early 1997. I qualified as an Antenatal teacher with a DipHEd (antenatal teaching) from the University of Bedford at the end of 2000. I have been teaching antenatal couples and refresher classes with the NCT ever since.

I have volunteered for the local NCT branch in many capacities over the years but as my boys are now older I now just run a bumps and babes coffee morning on a Monday, twice a month. Its a lovely way to keep contact with some of the Mum's who come through my classes

During 2008 I trained to teach the NCT Yoga for pregnancy classes which I have been teaching since Feb 2009.

More recently, in June 2010, I attended the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) instructor course training. I qualified as an infant massage instructor in Aug 2010, and have now started to run Baby Massage Courses

Over the last couple of years I have been doing an adult education course in floristry.
